Job Title: Electrical Technician

Duties & Responsibilities:

Include, but are not limited to the following:

• Installation of cable management systems (trays and trunks).
• Drilling and cutting penetrations through bulkheads (walls).
• Pulling, terminating & cable gland, crimping and creating looms.
• Installation and connection of AC/DC devices & equipment.
• Installation of LV & HV devices & equipment.
• Mounting and installing a variety of components.
• Experience with installation and testing of Cathodic protection, Lightning protection, and earthling systems
• Installation, isolation, reinstatement and associated construction testing of electrical equipment in NON-HAZARDOUS and HAZARDOUS areas.
• Reading, understanding and implementing of all applicable company/project policies, working practices, and procedures, associated with the role of Electrical Technician are completed safely.
• Ability to use measurement devices such as multi-meter, insulation tester, clamp meter, ground meter, etc.
• Complete all work scope in accordance with applicable work pack/job card instructions, associated procedures, and drawings/sketches.
• Undertake responsibility to comply with all the Occupation Health and Safety requirements applied within the company.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Physically able to meet requirements of the job, including, working on confined spaces, lifting heavy equipment, and working at elevated heights
• Ability to install and wire various devices including 3 phase machinery.
• Provide the culture to “STOP the Job” if anyone feels unsafe

Education/Experience and Qualification:

• Relevant technical education or recognized industry apprenticeship.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the relevant field in industrial construction projects.
• Detailed knowledge of electrical codes and best practices.
• Written and verbal communication skills in English are preferable
• Candidates with full details CompEX (EX01, EX02, EX03, EX04) /BOSIET /Hawke Gland and Termination certificates are preferable.
• Rope Access Level1 certificate is preferable
