Junior Architect & Draftsman

Job description:

• Obtain and assemble data to complete architectural designs, visiting job sites to compile measurements as necessary. Preparing LOD package drawings
• Analyze building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements, and other technical documents and reports to determine their effect on architectural designs
• Lay out and plan interior room arrangements for commercial buildings, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and software
• Represent architect on construction site, ensuring builder compliance with design specifications and advising on design corrections, under architect's supervision
• Check dimensions of materials to be used and assign numbers to lists of materials
• Preparing detailed drawings (if required)

Requirements:

• BS degree in Architecture
• Proven working experience min. 1-2 years
• Excellent drawing skills and familiarity with design software (Adobe Photoshop, SketchUp, 3d Studio VIZ or similar)
• Strong imagination and the ability to think and create in three dimensions
• Create detailed designs with computer-aided design (CAD) software
• Prepare and review rough sketches and review them along with the team
