Job brief

We are looking for a highly experienced engineer in cost estimation and Quantity Surveying of Civil Construction projects (Not-oil & Gas) estimator / quantity surveyor

An outline of the Candidate’s responsibilities:

Responsibilities

• Gathers, Analyses, conclude projects requirements, design drawings, specifications, etc.to prepare BOQs, Cost Estimates
• Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses, etc.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, and Sub-contractors
• Can do Value Engineering / Alternatives Costing
• Prepare detailed reports or bids for submission to appropriate parties
• Foster relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, architects etc.)
• Participate / develop the companies policy  and standards for the cost estimation / QS practice

Requirements

• BSc/MSc in engineering (Civil preferred) or construction Management
• Proven experience 10 years plus in construction projects (Not oil and gas) in quantity surveying and cost estimation
• Preferred with international experience with International Consultancies or Construction companies
• wide knowledge and experience working in different construction projects estimating labor cost, time and construction materials from local and international markets (including MEP, Civil, Architectural works)
• Deep understanding project data analysis and estimation metrics, and Standards of Measurements Comfortable with numbers and technology
• Excellent knowledge of Excel is a must and other cost estimation software is preferred
• Great attention to detail / analysis
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Well-organized, reliable, and Initiative
• Good working knowledge of English
• Certified Professional Cost Estimator/ Analyst (PCEA®), or Certified Estimating Professional (CEP), or Certified Professional Estimator (CPE), or Certified Cost Estimator/ Analyst (CCEA®)
