Job Title: Construction Manager

Job responsibilities

• Performs monitoring & surveillances of Contractors site activities.
• Provide HSE leadership and report to Company any unsafe acts or conditions, work with Company and Contractors to deliver expectations.
• Overseas for Company review of Contractors equipment installation (static & rotating), site materials control, equipment and materials preservation, site checks on piping, cleanliness and issues reports on acceptance of work done by Contractor.
• Identify and recommends resolutions of non-conformances and corrective actions to Contractors site construction team and monitors to satisfactory close-out.
• Review, mark up and participate in Contractors Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) ensure Company monitor, witness and hold points included in ITPs are implemented.
• Provide input into lessons learned and risk management systems.
• Provide detailed daily, weekly and monthly quality reports as required by project and attend project meetings as required.
• Review and confirm conformance of Contractors mechanical procedures.
• Perform performance reviews, recommend areas for improvement.
• Ensure Contractors fully implement project requirements as defined in approved specifications and procedures, particularly on equipment, materials preservation, joint integrity and piping cleanliness.
• Source required data for monitoring and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Be familiar with the specifications and requirements for his discipline for the project.
• Monitor the calibration status of tools used by the inspectors of the contractor & Vendors.
• Participate in contractors internal audits associated with discipline.
• Promote and leads by example on a One Team philosophy and works with the contractor to ensure continuous improvement.
• Promote the use of non-conformances as opportunities for improvement.
• Identify the NCR and seeks buy in by the contractor to issue it in their own system for resolution, close out and follow up on the preventive actions to ensure they do not repeat themselves.
• Apply a proactive approach to inspection to get it right the first time by being in front of the activities and not behind.
• Assist in the GOC documentation is being completed in time and in an accurate manner as activities get completed.
• Ensure that the preservation activities by the preservation subcontractor are executed and ensures cleaning less of provided skids and preservation routines are maintained.

Requirements

1. Formal Qualification in Mechanical Engineering e.g. HNC minimum.
2. Qualified as internal quality auditor (ISO-9000) desired.
3. Moderate experience in QC equipment and Materials Inspection, relating to construction of gas terminals.
4. Moderate experience in QC and inspection surveillances on client's behalf overseeing Contractors work activities.
5. Good knowledge of hands-on use of inspection tools for dimensional control of static & rotating equipment, piping cleanliness and preservation of materials control performed by Contractor.
6. Experience in commissioning preferred.
7. Experience in preservation activities preferred.
8. Experience in ASME Flange / Joint Integrity Operations & personnel qualification.
