Position Function

The Workshop Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating all Workshop activities including equipment load outs, load in’s, service, maintenance, repair and implement QA/QC procedures for all Department activities. Liaising with the Operations Manager on all day-to-day matters relating to workshop activities. To maintain smooth running of all activities within Department, ensuring all equipment packages are supplied to Customer correctly and all job deadlines are met.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 5 years of Oil and Gas Industry experience.
• Good IT Skills - MS Office
• Trained in Managing Safely
• Understanding of Oil and Gas minimum industry standards
• Be able to manage workload, priorities tasks and delegate.
• Supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Department ensuring all Workshop and Offshore equipment is maintained ready for operational use.
• Responsible for training/instructing new and experienced Workshop personnel.
• Ensure all Equipment Fault Reports are distributed for corrective action.
• Upon completion distribute between Operations and QA/Safety Departments, as required.
• Ensure all equipment and containers are certified, worn parts replaced, slings, etc. when necessary, and to ensure that all Workshop safety policies are applied. 
• Liaise with QA & Safety Manager/Co-ordinator and Operations Supervisor on all developments/incidents as required.
• Ensure all work areas are kept clean and free of obstructions. Responsible for maintaining good housekeeping. 
• Responsible for instructing Department staff about any materials/activities that may be hazardous to health or that could cause environmental damage.
• Responsible for health and safety of all personnel in the Workshop and for the protection of the environment.
• Report any unsafe or unsatisfactory plant and systems of work to those not being operated to Frank's standards to QA & Safety Department, or as appropriate.
• Implement quality, health and safety policies during all operational activities. Suggest changes/improvements which may be made to those procedures where appropriate. 
• Ensure all incidents causing injury to persons, damage to property or the environment, and those having for serious effect are reported to Operations Supervisor and QA & Safety Manager and are properly investigated.
• Liaise with Contractor companies and Operations Supervisor, as required.
• Raise requisitions for equipment, spare parts, etc. to be authorised by Operations Supervisor. 
• Responsible for physical checks on equipment load-outs. Forward all required documents on to Operations
• Department for correct filing/record maintenance.
• Drive forklift, side-loader, pick-up truck and Workshop cranes as required.
• Act as focal point to internal/external Department enquiries.
• Responsible for all relevant QA & Safety Documentation and maintaining 'controlled' docs where necessary.
• Any other duties as directed by line manager
