Job Title: Project Cost Controller in Construction
AZCO EPC is currently seeking a Project Cost Controller for the construction (Fit-out & Finishing works) projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for the analysis and forecasting of project cost and progress data. Prepares cost estimates and price quotations on new work and coordinates the preparation of cost estimates on project continuations. Estimates the cost of both labor and materials from blueprints and specifications.
Skills / Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, building science or engineering with a strong background in mathematics and accounting
• Prefer 7 or more years of related experience in managing large value contracts
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and other documents
• Strong analytical skills
• Work with others as a team player
• Organized with strong technical and problem solving skills
• Ability to effectively interface with a variety of professionals, including architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Familiar with industry standards for construction cost estimating tools and processes
• Excellent organizational and planning skills, detail oriented
• Familiarity with typical engineering disciplines and documentation
• Ability to organize, plan, control, coordinate, and effectively manage cross-functional activities
• Experience with Project Control Systems for integration of cost and schedule
• Knowledge of Project Controls Standards & Best Practices
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Key Responsibilities
• Assist in Setting up the baseline cost control system (internal and external) and documentation for the project
• Prepare forecasts, cost trend reports, and monitor cost and budget forecasts on multiple projects on the same work site
• Responsible for maintaining change control, cost reports, etc.
• Evaluate cost-effectiveness of the design and recommend opportunities for improving efficiency and reducing cost of construction.
