Cost Analyst

The Cost Analyst (CA) is accountable for providing cost control, analysis and management  of the implemented projects. The functions include analyzing and verifying the various contractors’ cost reports, in relation to quantity and baseline budgets, cash flows, work force plans, histograms, and various quantity and progress curves. The Cost Analyst will have working in all phases of projects from conception to completion. In addition, this position will work closely with other entities such as contractors, suppliers, vendors and subcontractors.

JOB DUTIES:

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor, update, control and forecast projects committed, incurred and invoiced costs.
- Track projects actual costs in 1C.
- Prepare reconciliations, monthly reports, trends, forecast at completion estimates, variance analysis, manpower profiles, cash flows and project completion reports.
- Review and evaluate contractors’ estimates and change requests and participate in project change management and risk management reviews.
- Develop and update cost reports and presentations to monitor and analyze projects costs and budgets.
- Review contractor progress reports, work force plans, and installed quantities tracking to ensure alignment with incurred and forecast cost analysis.
- Assist the project team in forecasting spend for accrual purposes
- Validate and release all invoices related to site activities in a timely and efficient manner
- Process journal entries for financial accuracy
- Work closely with cost estimating, planning/scheduling, risk management and functional leaders to develop integrated project progress and analysis reports.
- Provide cost input to projects benchmarking and provide related metrics such as rates of progress and manpower densities.
- Provide input for projects estimating and risk assessments.
- Maintain document trail to facilitate internal audits of internal control systems.
- Prepare cost management sections of project documents and support the cost analysis of contractor bids.
- Support the project close-out process, as required.

Qualifications

M BSc/Ba in accounting, finance or relevant field
Minimum 2 years oil and gas industry experience in a Cost Control/Cost analyst role
Proficient in the use of 1C and MS Office suite.
Knowledge in Hydraulics sphere is advantage.
