JOB SPECIFICATION

JOB TITLE: Mechanical Piping Commissioning Technician

REPORTING TO: Commissioning Mechanical Senior Technician
LOCATION: Kazakhstan Tengiz

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Objectives:

 Ensure the projects commitment to Safety is maintained.
 To complete the work scope assigned within the defined project schedule, ensuring the engineering design standards are achieved and equipment operability satisfactorily demonstrated.

Responsibilities:

 Demonstrate personal HSSE leadership and excellent HSE behaviours at all times, and ensure that safety expectations are communicated and maintained.
 Attend all mandatory training as specified in HSE, and Permit to Work training schedule.
 Be fully aware and understand all the projects safe working practices and adhere to them to maintain a SAFE working environment.
 Adhere to the Permit to Work procedure and fully understand the process
 Submit daily the check sheets records of testing carried out.
 Carry out mechanical completion line walks of mechanical and process systems and compile punch lists in accordance with project specifications
 Understand the requirements for vessel inspections, alignments, PSV’s, Flushing and inspections
 Inspect mechanical and process equipment in line with project specifications and complete the associated ITR paper work.
 System Handover Management Process pre commissioning checksheet completion
 As building mechanical and process documents in accordance with project procedure

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Skills Requirement:

 Competent in communicating in English language.
 Ability to work on own initiative.
 Good inter-personal and communication skills.
 Deep knowledge of Mechanical, Rotating Equipment, piping codes, bolting and torqueing techniques
 Ability to interpret and understand P&ID’s, D&ID’s, UFD’s, PFD’s, GA’s and engineering datasheets in English.
 Computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.

Qualification:

 A recognised mechanical/process qualification from their native country

Experience:

 Proven track record of relevant commissioning experience on Mechanical Systems on onshore or offshore Oil &Gas, Petro-Chemical or Power Industry facilities, and demonstrate an understanding of Commissioning process including:
 Interpretation of P&ID’s, D&ID’s, UFD’s, PFD’s, GA’s and engineering datasheets
 Commissioning of Mechanical, and Rotating Equipment systems
