Job Title:    Field Service Engineer (Instrument & Control)

Duties & Responsibilities:

Include, but are not limited to the following:

- Performs field inspections and oversees field measurements and data collection.
- Performs package instrumentation and control systems and electrical systems inspection, planned and corrective maintenance.
- Performs instrumentation and control systems equipment calibration.
- Provide front line support to installation and commissioning activities.
- Conducts condition monitoring of equipment.
- Supports control system retrofit and upgrade scopes.
- Supports and emphasizes the importance of safety and environmental programs and ensures compliance with HSE    standards.
- Initiates/participates in continuous improvement initiatives in assigned area of responsibility.
- Communicates with customer regarding condition of equipment and repair work scope.
- Generates and submits field service reports.
- Ensures applicable Service Bulletins are reviewed and actions implemented if required.
- Recognizes problems and is proactive in helping to resolve them.
- Performs equipment troubleshooting and problem rectification.
- Evaluates component condition and repair options and performs risk assessment for maintenance activities.
- Identifies and implements new or existing repair technology in area of responsibility.
- Inspects completed work or work in progress to assure job quality, including off-site work performed by vendors at their facilities.
- Contributes to Computerized Maintenance Management System Program (CMMS).
- Performs field repair of driven equipment, pumps, compressors and generators.
- Identification & diagnosis of control system, power output maximization and all subsequent failures for analysis
- Ensure compliance with all company and governmental safety, environmental and health rules and regulations
- Any and all other duties as assigned by the Site Supervisor, including the possibility of occasional workshop-based activities.

  Education/Experience and Qualification:

- High school diploma in Instrument and Control Engineering or equivalent.
- Detailed knowledge of power plant systems and equipment in area of responsibility.
- Minimum 5 years experience in rotating equipment onsite maintenance, operations, troubleshooting and repair.
- Exposure to PLC control systems (Allen Bradley PLC 5, RS/Logix 5000, Turbotronics).
- Experience in a similar industry is strongly preferred.

Working Conditions:

- Offshore based position.
- Working schedule is rotation based 14/14.
