Azerbaijan Tourism Board (Azərbaycan Turizm Bürosu) is a newly established entity under the State Tourism Agency and is national tourism organization. Our core tasks include the promoting Azerbaijan as a holiday destination, innovative marketing in the most internationally promising markets and the transfer of our knowledge of guests and markets to the domestic tourism industry. In this way we make an important contribution to the competitiveness of the holiday destination Azerbaijan.

The International Market Management Department is responsible for the establishment and management of ATB’s representative offices abroad.

We are looking for 2 Regional Managers –Middle East and Asia – based in Azerbaijan Tourism Board’s head-office in Baku.

The Regional Manager is representing the interests of Azerbaijan Tourism Board in the region in accordance with Azerbaijan’s tourism development strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Collect information about the region and its most relevant tourism source markets and share with tourism industry in Azerbaijan;
• Analyze information about the markets and, based on the results of the analysis, develop a strategy for marketing Azerbaijan’s tourism portfolio in the region;
• Suggest and organize of marketing campaigns (ATL and BTL);
• Organize and develop a distribution network in the region; enabling of potential partners;
• Plan and open Representative offices in accordance with overall development strategy;
• Coordinate activities of rep office (entire business planning process from budgeting to quality control);
• Coordinate ATB’s interests in the region;
• Organize seminars and workshops for partners, providing information about Azerbaijan and development opportunities;
• Provide management with  Monthly / Quarterly / Annual reports on accomplished work;
• Coordinate processes between Rep. Office and ATB Head office in Baku to ensure smooth implementation of strategy;
• Be aware of federal laws, local legislation (region) and regulatory legal documents governing the implementation of representative and commercial activities.

Requirements:

• You have a degree in Business Administration / Management or similar education and several years of work experience
• You have excellent communication skills, both written and oral in Azerbaijani and a language relevant for the region you are applying for
• You bring along strong intercultural skills relevant to the region you are applying for
• Confident in establishing business contacts and networking in any business environment
• You are able to adapt a given strategy to the specifics of the region and provide appropriate feedback and solutions
• Have strong tourism related network and profound knowledge on tourism resources in Azerbaijan
• You bring along high self-initiative and project management competence
• We require a high level of communication, teamwork and organizational skills
• Confident handling of MS Office and written and spoken English and regional language (Chinese for Asia, Arabic for Middle East) is mandatory
