RESPONSIBILITIES:

As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for creating a superior food & beverage experience surrounded by engaging, knowledgeable Colleagues. Creating a memorable experience for each Guest will ensure positive results for your team and hotel.

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:  

• Supervise coordinate, and direct prompt efficient and courteous service with a focus on attention to detail
• Recruit, train, manage, mentor, lead and develop highly engaged colleagues and leaders to rigorously uphold Fairmont service essentials and deliver on Fairmont service promises.
• Ensure regular and effective communication by participating in monthly communication meeting, leading effective and informative daily shift briefs and daily interaction with colleagues.
• Develop and maintain a constructive, harmonious and communicative working relationship with all supporting departments.
• Assumes complete responsibility of all outlet operations in absence of outlet manager
• Control stock for daily use in outlets to ensure service levels are met
• Maintains effective performance management including coaching/counseling and conducting regular performance reviews
• Strong floor presence, building genuine long-lasting relationships maximizing potential for repeat business
• Assist in the development and implementation of Food and Beverage promotion
• Assist in the development and monitoring of action plans to improve all key pillars (CES JD Power GOP)
• Monitor control of food, beverage, labour and operating expenses and adhere to budgetary requirements
• Ensure the proper maintenance, cleanliness and upkeep of all areas and equipment
• Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous experience in hotel Food and Beverage operations, 2 years experience in restaurant management in a luxury property preferred
• Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written, in English and Azeri or Turkish is an asset
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Analytical skills, strengths as a developer and a leader of others are essential
