Role synopsis

Due to recent contract wins, PD&MS Group are looking for a Closeout Engineer to join the team based in Baku, Azerbaijan.  The role requires a high degree of Drilling Equipment and System knowledge.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all works carried out by the project are closed out in a timely manner and that all systems are updated to ensure all requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify design deliverables are closed out in accordance with project requirements
• Ensuring project close out in compliance with Company and Client IMS
• Compilation of close out files in hard copy and electronic formats
• Inter-discipline coordination of As Built engineering deliverables
• Maintain and update company electronic database of close out folders
• Maintain and update company electronic close out trackers
• Management and tracking of project Punch list items
• Liaison with in-house Construction, Engineering, Procurement and QHSE departments both on and offshore to facilitate project close out
• Ad-hoc mobilisation to facilitate certification close out
• Meeting or bettering project schedules
• Liaise / interface with Clients, Sub-contractors, Vendors and Certifying Authorities on project related issues, associated with above stated areas of responsibility
• Responsible for ensuring professional development is maintained and identified competency requirements are undertaken in a timely manner
• Adherence to the company integrated management system
• Compliance with quality assurance, health and safety and environmental policies
• Demonstrate and promote PD&MS QHSE principles and lead by example
• Ensure unsafe activities are challenged
• Adherence to the requirements of the best practice standards recommendations and processes in the undertaking of duties, in particular, risk assessment and control, reliability and failure prevention necessary to ensure the safe design, provision and use of tools, equipment and systems
• Demonstrate and promote PD&MS values and lead by example

Essential qualifications and experience

• Demonstrable experience in the Offshore / Onshore Oil and Gas Construction Industry within a projects environment
• Previous experience as a co-ordinator / focal point for multi discipline project close out
• Time Served / Modern Apprenticeship approved by City & Guilds or HNC or recognised technical qualification approved by an appropriate awarding body
• GOC Foundation
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of Oil and Gas Industry Engineering and Construction requirements, practices and Quality systems
• Demonstrable experience and ability in project close out application
• Competent in the use of MS Office applications
• BOSIET / FOET with CA-EBS
• MIST
• Excellent written and spoken English
