Role synopsis

Due to recent contract wins, PD&MS Group are looking for a Shutdown Coordinator to join the team based in Baku, Azerbaijan.  The role requires a high degree of Drilling Equipment and System knowledge. The position will run from the 1st week in September through to the end of January 2019.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all coordination and management of the Shutdown project/campaign being executed offshore in line with onshore design requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Show clear strong leadership by demonstrating a high level of personal safety commitment
• Manage, demonstrate and communicate clearly the safety expectations of all individuals
• Promote and encourage a culture to STOP the job if there are any safety concerns or doubts
• Early involvement with Construction and Workpack Engineers to understand specific Shutdown scope of work requirements
• Review of forthcoming Shutdown construction workpacks in preparation for offshore Shutdown campaign
• Identification and mobilisation management of all trades personnel and specialist vendors associated with Shutdown offshore scope(s) of work
• Management of all plant and equipment associated with Shutdown offshore scope(s) of work
• Manage Shutdown Construction Campaign Risk assessments
• Manage offshore Shutdown team including OCE’s and OCS’s
• Manage, plan and coordinate offshore Shutdown scheduled work
• Manage the detailed documented Daily Shutdown Progress Reports on behalf of the Company and or the Client
• Involvement in offshore Shutdown material management process to ensure timely availability of Shutdown construction materials in line with the Shutdown plans
• Identification of Shutdown material/consumable shortfalls and proactively addressing gaps
• Ensuring protection and return of all Shutdown related equipment in timely fashion
• Daily communication with offshore and onshore focal points including attendance at daily Shutdown calls
• Management of site queries and maintain site query register
• Provide additional support, safety and quality control advise to the Shutdown construction team for Shutdown campaign execution
• Management of offshore Shutdown trade and vendor personnel, coordination with client representative, and ensure SIMOPS are addressed
• Manage the formulation of Shutdown Permit to Work, LOLER lift plans and isolation scopes
• Ensure Shutdown workpacks are back loaded and moved into close out team as soon as possible post Shutdown construction while adequately addressing any Shutdown punch list items
• Liaise / interface with Clients, Sub-contractors, Vendors and Certifying Authorities on Shutdown construction project related issues
• Adherence to the requirements of the best practice standards recommendations and processes in the undertaking of duties, in particular, risk assessment and control, reliability and failure prevention necessary to ensure the safe design, provision and use of tools, equipment and systems
• Regular offshore visits to suit PD&MS and client Shutdown requirements
• Review of Shutdown Construction Timesheets to confirm correctness
• Input to Shutdown construction CTRs to ensure Shutdown Manhours are correct
• Review and update of Shutdown construction related planning activities
• Promotes and markets company at every opportunity
• Encouragement of attention to safety 
• Responsible for ensuring professional development is maintained and identified competency requirements are undertaken in a timely manner
• Adherence to the Company integrated management system
• Compliance with quality assurance, health and safety and environmental policies
• Demonstrate PD&MS QHSE principles
• Demonstrate and promote PD&MS values, GENES and lead by example
• Ensure unsafe activities are challenged
• Awareness and understanding of the business drivers and values
• Adherence to the requirements of best practice standards recommendations and processes in the undertaking of duties
• Demonstrate and promote PD&MS values and lead by example

Essential qualifications and experience

• Time Served / Modern Apprenticeship approved by City & Guilds or HNC or recognised technical qualification approved by an appropriate awarding body
• IOSH Managing Safely in the Engineering Construction Industry (SMTD Module 4) (to be completed within the first 3 months)
• GOC Foundation
• Demonstrable experience working offshore in an engineering, construction engineering or maintenance environment
• Experience and good understanding of Drilling and drilling maintenance activities and operations
• Demonstrated knowledge of Shutdown construction requirements and practices
• Competent in the use of MS Office applications
• Survival BOSIET / FOET with CA-EBS
• MIST
• Excellent written and spoken English
