Job Title: Materials Coordinator within RDS

(Fixed term contract until 30/11/2018)

Location: Baku, Head Office

Support the applicable General Manager (GM) and SCM leadership of KCA DEUTAG and implement the strategy,
planning and management for the acquisition of goods and services to support the regional operations of KCAD.
The function holder is responsible for supporting the implementation of the standards and processes that enable
the transport, storage and distribution of materials, equipment in the optimum balance of time, quality and price.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Make a significant contribution to the SCM annual business plan by supporting delivery of the associated
Regional Business plan, targeting improvements in service to operations, overall cost reduction, optimum
quality and risk management.
• Receive, check materials and equipment including Supplier Delivery, Road or Airfreight, Offshore Return
etc. in accordance with Departmental Procedures.
• In conjunction with Project Engineers, prepare equipment mobilisations including related shipping
documentation (e.g. Cargo Manifests, Cargo Summary Tickets etc).
• Perform a periodic review of materials awaiting shipment to ensure that all required items are being
prepared and ready for shipment as instructed.
• Assist in packing of CCU’s to relevant standards and guidelines.
• Liaise with and assist any third party shipping or transportation function as required.
• Establish and maintain inventory management and transport procedures appropriate to local SCM
requirements.
• Participate in the programme for strategic inventory management initiatives, adapting those strategies to
suit regional conditions.
• Participate in the supplier quality management (SQM) programme, adapting those strategies to suit
regional conditions.
• Assist the Warehouse Supervisor/Supply Manager to liaise with SCM main focal point for all E&M projects,
both refurbishment and “new builds” to ensure consistent SCM planning.
• Promote effective communication with operations and regional E&M leadership.
• Support the SCM Business Process Owner for SAP. Co-ordinate improvements to the processes and
resolution of identified issues where these relate specifically to the region.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

• Must have experience of working in small, multi-functional warehouse teams.
• Must have experience of ERP systems (SAP if possible).
• Must be able to effectively communicate with asset/country SCM personnel (office, base or rig-site) and
E&M teams to define M&T requirements. Fluent English both verbal and written is required.
• Must have exposure to SCM methodologies: Inventory management, Supplier Quality Assurance and
applicable industry standards.
• Must have experience of the applicable business interfaces with SCM and Operations required to support
operational objectives.
