Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer
“Global Energy Solutions” is the oilfield service company providing range of services including Rotating Equipment and Static Equipment overhaul, repair, E&I services, Rig Maintenance to the O&G and Power Industries. Duties & Responsibilities:
Include, but are not limited to the following:
To develop engineering projects analysis to include preliminary design, calculations, budget analysis, life cycle costs plus equipment selection
To prepare design and engineering deliverables including drafting works, single line diagram, survey reports, task risk assessment, lighting and small power layouts, electrical load list, cable routing layout, block diagram, wiring & loop diagram, cable sizing calculation, trace heating calculation etc.
To check deliverables prepared by other technical personnel, taking part in Electrical surveys, inspection, liaison with client technical personnel on technical requirements
Preparing Panel Schedules, SLD, Feeder Data, Cables and Circuit Breakers Selection, Voltage Drop and Short Circuit Calculations, Load Estimation and Coordination with Other Trades
To conduct survey, report on existing electrical installations and identify customer requirements.
To provide electrical design details for new and refurbishment projects.
Interpreting design specifications and technical drawings.
T prepare product documentation, writing reports and specifications.
To develop and prepare detailed electrical engineering and construction installation documents and provide engineering support during all phases of project to management and field installation employees.
Education/Experience and Qualification:
High school diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the relevant field
Strong computer skills (AutoCad (2D & 3D), DIAlux, ETAP, Microsoft Office)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Familiarity with IEEE, IEC, NEC, and OSHA standards.
Ability to think methodically, to design, plan and manage the work.
Ability to maintain an overview of entire projects while continuing to attend to detailed technicalities.
Ability to make contacts and develop effective working relationships within and outside the department.
