Job Title:  Rotating Equipment Engineer

Rotating Equipment Engineer reports to Maintenance Delivery Manager and provides maintenance engineering support for Gas Compression/Power Generation Stations. The successful candidate will need to work closely with Field Service Engineers and Site Supervisors in order to achieve continuous running of equipment and machinery. Maintenance engineer will work with other professionals in order to improve production facilities, reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns and develop strategies to improve overall reliability and safety of plant, personnel and production processes.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develop maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods for rotating equipment.
- Review and update existing company maintenance strategy documents.
- Troubleshoot breakdown problems associated with rotating equipment.
- Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems, and repairs.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers in order to resolve inquiries.
- Manage inventory and spare parts.
- Carry out quality inspections on performed jobs through CMMS.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Consult with Field Service Engineers and Site Supervisors on technical problems.
- Monitor equipment performance and ensure equipment is performing effectively and efficiently.
- Review deficiencies noted during corrective maintenance.
- Provide technical guidance for CMMS.
- Act as a champion for remote online condition monitoring system.
- Monitor new tools and technology for maintenance improvement.
- Review/raise NCRs associated with rotating equipment.
- Develop standards for major maintenance overhauls and outages.
- Provide technical guidance for the preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Serve as the focal point for monitoring performance indicators for maintenance management.
- Responsible for analyzing equipment, operating data.
- Make cost-effective benefit review of the maintenance programs.
- Develop preservation maintenance strategy and requirements.
- Define KPIs for equipment performance and maintenance efficiency and produce monthly reports.
- Provide engineering support for root cause analysis.

Education/Experience and Qualification:

- High school diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the engineering field, preferably in a similar field.
- Expert knowledge of the rotating equipment (Gas Turbines, Gas Compressors) and auxiliaries (Gears, Couplings and Guards, Lube Oil System, Gas Fuel System, Liquid Fuel System, Seal Gas System etc.).
- Ability to read technical drawings and schemes.
- Good working knowledge of CMMS tools (Maximo, SAP-PM).
- Understanding of CbM (Vibration Analysis/Monitoring, Oil Analysis, Thermography, Ultrasonic), PM and PdM techniques.
- Rotating equipment troubleshooting experience.
- Good analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
- Be able to work on own initiative, work to deadlines and also be a team player.
- An ability to work well under pressure.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluent English language.
- Advanced PC user.
