Construction Cost Estimator/Smetaçı Mühəndis

The Construction Cost Estimator will work in collaboration with  the Construction Project Manager, Procurement department and clients to discuss potential project objectives. He/she will be part of developing the scope of work from which the finite numbers and a detailed estimate or construction bid should be created. The Construction Cost Estimator must have the ability to think conceptually and have an excellent understanding of construction methods, schedules, costs, equipment and trades

Job description:

- Assist Project Mangers with pre-construction services and project setup
- Assist in preparation, review and administration of Scope of Works and materials specifications
- Provide overarching and direct program cost estimating/scheduling support including the overall coordination of cost estimating/scheduling efforts for programs and projects.
- Prepare cost estimates based on program acquisition strategy, deliverables, schedule, and operations and support concepts.
- Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time, materials, and labor expenses
- Travel to jobsites to gather information on materials needed, labor required, and other factors
- Read blueprints and technical documents in order to prepare estimates
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors on estimates
- Consult with industry experts to discuss estimates and resolve issues
- Use computer software to calculate estimates
- Evaluate a product’s cost-effectiveness or profitability against technical and economic factors
- Recommend ways to make a product more cost effective or profitable
- Develop project plans for the duration of the project
- Prepare documentation flow for local and international Tenders ∙
- Analyzing Tender documentation against projects risks and costs
- Analyze cost compliance of construction materials with market costs
- Reporting  monthly and annual cost estimation analyzes 

Requirements:

- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- 5+ years of current estimating experience for commercial/residential construction
- Bachelor’s degree preferred- Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering or professional level of knowledge equivalent
- Strong understanding of multiple types of construction, varying occupancies and building code requirements
- Knowledge and application of construction materials/costs, labor rates/productivity, installation costs, building methods/means
- Proficiency in Azeri, Russian and English Languages
- Highly motivated self-starter with strong organizational skills
- Ability to judge accuracy of current price information of raw data elements
