Responsibilities

• Develop in C# environment, developing ASP.NET web applications, WCF, Restful API and web services using Microsoft platforms, frameworks, and tools
• Use modern web development technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build fast and intuitive user experiences
• Perform regular on-call duties
• Follow and enhance existing development processes
• Measure and verify that new and old code has acceptable performance and scalability
• Maintain ownership of the projects assigned
• Consistently meet project deadlines
• Analyze requirements and specifications and create detailed designs for implementation
• Analyze and resolve software related issues originated from internal or external customers
• Continuously update professional knowledge of new technologies

Requirements

• Strong experience with custom web-based data driven application development, using Transact-SQL and C# and .NET technology including working experience in using Microsoft platforms, frameworks, and tools
• Strong experience in building ASP.NET web applications
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery frameworks and Web Services (REST & SOAP)
• Experience in ORM frameworks
• object-oriented programming experience
• Experience in general software development methodologies
• Experience in all aspects of the software lifecycle, including design and testing
• Ability to understand and start projects quickly
• Experience working as part of a team
• Superb attention to detail
• Experience in Version Control Systems
• Experience implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Very good verbal and written communication skills, regardless of audience
• Must be a self-initiative, highly motivated, organized, and self-disciplined with the ability to organize time and work efficiently
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Experience in insurance industry is preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline
• Relevant certification is preferred
• Fluency in Russian or English is an advantage
