Job Title: HSE Manager

Summary and Purpose of Role:

Manages the planning, administration, training, and enforcement of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) program to ensure compliance with all company policies and state regulations. Identifies hazards and assesses risk to HSE, involving individuals to identify the appropriate safety controls, and provides guidance on accident prevention and occupational health to management and employees.

Areas of Responsibility Include:

Supervision: 

 May manage other HSE staff.

Job Role Responsibilities: 

 Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
 Conduct or oversee ongoing safety inspections of facilities, operations, and equipment to ensure compliance and safe working environment for associates. 
 Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
 Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
 Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
 Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
 Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes
 Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
 Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics
 Promotes occupational health and safety awareness throughout the company
 Coach's management on their HSE responsibilities. 

Position Qualification Knowledge

 Proven experience as HSE manager
 Deep understanding of legal health and safety guidelines
 Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment

 BA in safety management or relevant field is preferred
 Valid qualification in occupational health and safety

Skill

 Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies
 Excellent organizational and motivational skills
 Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
 Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
