The largest corporate bank of Azerbaijan Pasha Bank is looking for hardworking candidates to join our team as Data Scientist.
The position applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, building high quality prediction systems integrated with different kind of products and improving/extending the features for existing models
Scope of position
• Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems
• Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
• Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques
• Work closely with business to identify issues and use data to propose solutions for effective decision making
• Research, evaluate, and determine the best fit of analytical tools and techniques
• Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using statistical techniques
• Monitor the performance of models prior to and following their release
• Collaborates with model developers to implement and deploy scalable solutions
Required qualifications & skills:
• Minimum bachelor degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, operations research or related technical discipline
• Adequate knowledge of machine learning, statistics, optimization or related field
• Experience with R, Python, Matlab, VBA and statistical packages
• Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with strong desire to work in cross functional teams
• Experience in financial services a strong plus
• Exceptional problem solving and negotiation skills
