Job Title: Painting Inspector

TWI in Azerbaijan is providing Inspection and NDT Services (3rd party Inspection), Consultancy services of Material, Corrosion Engineering, Research and Consultancy, Failure investigation, Structural Integrity assessment, Welding Engineering, Engineering Facilities (Procurement) WPS & PQR, WQT and international training & Certification (www.twi-global.com).

Responsibilities:

• Attend HOLD points specified in ITP
• Monitor site blasting and painting activities.
• Witness paint system` test panel qualification test
• Witness blaster`s and painter’s qualification test
• Witness inspection conducted by the contractor inspector of critical applications (tanks internals, flares and etc.)
• Verify calibration of site inspection instruments.
• Monitor condition of the painting and blasting equipment.
• Monitor paints and abrasives storage condition.
• Monitor mixing and application of paint.
• Carry out random verification and planned surveillances of surface cleanliness & roughness, WFT/DFT and visual appearance of finished work.
• Witness salt testing, holiday testing and adhesion testing performed by the contractor` inspector;
• Assist and advise contractor` inspectors on code / specification requirements
• Report non-compliances and unsafe acts observed
• Compile daily and weekly reports.

Requirements:

• Citizenship of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
• VOIN;
• Level 2 Paint Inspector Certificate (EN/ISO 9712 or equivalent)
• 4 years / + of relevant experience;
• Degree in Engineering
• Ability to interpret drawings and engineering documents;
• Ability to compile reports
• Knowledge of relevant international standards;
• Knowledge of common construction materials;
• Knowledge of common paint material and systems;
• Knowledge of specific applications (PFP, TSA, HDG);
• Good command of English;
• Salary is Negotiable.
