Position: Technical Assistant ( Logistics)

Duties & Responsibilities
 
Assist in Offshore Function and Onshore Co-ordination

Functions

ESSENTIAL
Support Management by all means in completion of Company’s activities in the region.
Set up & maintain the logistics/customs related filing systems.
Update of travel/movement log and Rota schedules.
Arrange for incoming personnel to be met at the airport /helicopter station and transported to their final destination in Azerbaijan.
In country personnel movement.
To liaise with Client’s related department for arranging Company personnel’s trip to offshore and onshore.
Make hotel reservations and dealing with the accommodation requirements issue of Company personnel.
Gather & collate logistics documents, declaration of assets & liabilities forms and maintain filing system for them.
Import/ export of company equipment .To keep tracking of temporary imported equipment/items to company name and to extend their regime if required by the project management.
To arrange in country movement of company equipment, to arrange their expediting to offshore rigs.
To coordinate company/hired drivers & vehicles.
Warehouse management & update of stores list
Undertake any other duties of a reasonable nature as required

Safety

Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.

Other

Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.
Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities

 This position has NO direct supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

High School Diploma.
Knowledge, Experience, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

Experience preferred to address Oil and Gas related Industry. (Onshore and Offshore).
Good English written and oral skills.
Working knowledge of Logistics Laws, standards, and guidelines.
Working knowledge of Codes and Laws for employment within Azerbaijan Republic.
Good communicational skill sets.
Computer Literate. (Microsoft Excel, Word).
Minimum of 4 to 5 years experience within Logistics related Operational environment

Working Conditions

This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows. 
 Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night
 Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the work place
 Work surface is stable (flat)

QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING

Very good knowledge storage of equipment and materials used in current operations of an oil base
Very good organizational skills with a high attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Fluent spoken and written English
Good analytical skills and sense of initiative; highly motivated.

EXPERIENCE

Minimum of three to five years successful experience in logistics / supply chain environment
Familiarity with supply chain management practices

COMPUTER SKILLS

Word / Excel / Power-Point
Aptitude to learn new computer skills
To coordinate company/hired drivers & vehicles

Warehouse management & update of stores list

Undertake any other duties of a reasonable nature as required.
