Company information:

The employer company is a joint venture with involvement of one of the big local holdings; aim to be a leader in floriculture industry in Azerbaijan with high international ambitions.

Job description:

As the General Manager, you will develop an organization with cohesiveness and synergy across the departments.
Working closely with Procurement, Production, Sales, Facility Maintenance and Accounting managers on KPI improvements will require you to use your strong communication, interpersonal, supervisory, presentation and problem solving skills.
You must understand accounting, finance/budgeting, planning, business process controls, as well as public relations and organizational skills to manage the total operation.

GM’s duties and responsibilities:

- Oversee daily operations for the business unit or organization;
- Provide direct management of key functional managers in the business unit;
- Insure the creation and implementation of a strategy designed to grow the business;
- Coordinate to set key performance goals for functions and direct reports;
- Insure the development of tactical programs to pursue targeted goals and objectives;
- Insure overall delivery and quality of the unit's offerings to customers;
- Engage in key or targeted customer activities;
- Oversee key hiring and employee development programs;
- Evaluate and decide upon key investments in equipment, infrastructure and employees;
- Share strategy and results to the unit's employees;
- Report key results to shareholders;
- Engage with shareholders in broader organizational strategy planning;
Agriculture knowledge or experience would be considered an asset.

Basic qualifications:

- Age between 30-45;
- Bachelor degree in (Economics, Finance, Engineering, Agriculture);
- Master’s degree in any discipline above. MBA is most appreciated;
- 5-15 years of professional experience including at least 3 years as a manager;
- Azerbaijani and English is mandatory, both at advanced level. Russian is highly desirable;
- Advanced skills in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint;
- Knowledge of ERP soft is an advantage;
- Basic knowledge of accounting;
- At least basic knowledge of agricultural industry;
- Ability to manage and coordinate all phases of agricultural production;
- Engineering and greenhouse technologies knowledge;
- IELTS and ACCA certificates are desirable.
