Position Summary
 
Senior Art Director is responsible for the visual tone, appearance, functionality, and overall aesthetic of a client project.  Designers are an integral part of the concept process and realize the team’s ideas from sketch to final layout through visually exciting executions. They are integral partners to the Art Director/Copywriter team and the User Experience Manager. He works collaboratively with the creative technologists to ensure tactical integration and feasibility of all front-end creative development.

Responsibilities

•   Generate and develop concepts and ideas which meet the requirements of the brief, meet client branding standards and are of a consistently high standard.
•   Ability to explain supporting rationale for all work.
•   Ability to challenge clients / internal teams when appropriate in order to raise the agency’s creative offering.
•   Attend client presentations or pitch presentations as required.
•   Works across all agency teams as appropriate to projects.
•   Working with the Client Service team regarding marketing and creative strategies for brand concepts, providing insight and challenging the brief as appropriate.
•   Complete all work based on agreed deadlines and within budget.
•   Use timesheet to record all work.

Qualifications

•         Must possess at least two years experience as a senior Art Director for an ad agency or web development firm.
•         Proven highly versatile design skills. Portfolio necessary.
•         Solid knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash/ Animate, InDesign and other graphic production software. Ability to work in Dreamweaver (or other html editing software).
•         B.A. in graphic design, Communication Arts, or equivalent.
•         The ability to work on own initiative.
•         Ability to coach and develop others.
