Background

Green Farms International (GFI) is an international company operating in the agri-food sector, exploiting its own lands and trading agri-food products.

Green Farms Azerbaijan, a subsidiary of GFI, has been recently created. GFA’s aim is to become a leading player in Azerbaijan in the agriculture sector through the production, transformation, and trading of high quality agricultural produce locally and internationally.

GFA has just started a 5000 Ha project in the Bilasuvar region, Azerbaijan, in which it will manage and operate an agricultural production unit.

Next to the production unit, GFA is now setting up a standalone trading division. This division will be responsible for the trade of agri-food products into and out of Azerbaijan.
To develop this newly created Business Unit, GFA is looking for a talented Commercial Manager. 

Location:   Baku, Az

Reporting line:   Direct to CEO of Green Farms Azerbaijan

Frequent interaction with Green Farms International management
Contract type:   Full time Employment contract

Job Description

The Commercial Manager of GFA will be in charge of the trading arm of GFA. Working in close relationship with the GFA and GFI management, he/she will be responsible to build the commercial trading activity of the company.

He/she will be in need to:

- Analyse the market and understand the structure of the trading sector on the selling side for agricultural produce (locally and internationally)
- Identify opportunities for the importation of specific agricultural input products (seeds, seedlings,…) into Azerbaijan.
- Open the trading business and develop a customer network locally and internationally
- Negotiate terms and conditions of the sales transactions
- Administrate the sales
- Organise logistics, financial execution of the deals
- Manage and grow the commercial/back office operation

Experience

- Business university degree
- Min 5-year experience in the agri-food industry
- Export/Import experience with countries such as Russia, EU, Turkey, China
- People management is a plus
