Work location: Onshore/Offshore (Azerbaijan)

Experience:
 
Minimum of 10 year experience in painting & blasting
Minimum 5 year experience in the similar position

General requirements

• Technical knowledge to support to the client
• Risk and safety management systems knowledge
• COSHH awareness
• Confined space awareness
• Working at height awareness
• Face fit testing

Duties:

Painting/Blasting Supervisor will lead painting/blasting teams effectively within a safety driven environment and makes sure that blasters/painters are fully trained and deemed competent prior to any task assignment.

• Supervises painting/blasting activities
• Provides technical expertise and advice in relation to painting/blasting
• Ensures that plant and equipment is maintained on a regular and daily basis throughout the work scope duration
• Delivers a high standard of work on project completion
• Conducts inductions to Company’s green hats
• Attends at various meetings
• Be actively involved and contribute to completing an onsite risk assessment that identifies additional risks or hazards involved in the work scope prior to work commencing.
• Ensures that works under the correct valid permits and the associated paper work is in place prior to work commencing
• Follows controls including PPE requirements from COSHH assessments
• Be actively involved in the onsite daily toolbox talk confirms that understands what the work scope involves and be aware if there any changes to the work or worksite.
• Ensures all equipment has been fully safety checked prior to use
