Job Title: QHSE Advisor

Location: Azerbaijan, Office and Site based

Reporting To: QHSE Manager

Purpose of Job: To support the QHSE Manager in the delivery, maintenance and improvement of Rapid Solutions management systems for the safe, efficient and reliable operations.

Job Responsibilities:

Documentation

• Develop IMS documentation such as process charts, procedures, work methods, check sheets and certification documents
• Develop project or customer specific HSE Plans, Quality Plans (QP) and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)
• Conduct review and amendments process to ensure legal and other compliance in respect of all aspects of QHSE and maintain the legal registers

Audits and Inspections

• Carry out QHSE Audits and Inspections and track/verify actions are closed-out
• Conduct site visits and perform job safety analysis, identify the risks and advise preventive measures
• Rigorously apply the health and safety rules and requirements for site and office
• Support the audit team during external audits
• Inspect and monitor subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with requirements

Continues Improvement

• Raise non-conformance reports as a result of audits and/or inspections and expedite the implementation of corrective and preventive action
• Coordinate or carry out quality or safety non-conformance investigations as part of a designated team
• Monitor, document, investigate and progress customer complaints

Advising, Coaching and Training

• Advise, educate and coach the workforce in the correct QHSE procedures and work practices
• Advise or coach operational managers and supervisors in respect of managing the QHSE aspects of their day-to-day undertakings
• Monitor HSE regulations and advise management on compliance matters
• Prepare training material on QHSE subjects
• Promote QHSE awareness and requirements by delivering internal training and inductions

Required Education and Training

• University degree in an engineering or technical discipline
• Internal auditor qualification in any management standard (OHSAS 18001, ISO 9001 or 14001)
• NEBOSH International Certificate

Required Job Experience and Skills

• Minimum three years’ experience working in a QHSE or equivalent role
• Experienced as a Supervisor is desirable
• Good Interpersonal and communication skills
• Problem solving skills using root cause analysis tools
• Language skills – English and Azerbaijani. Russian is an advantage.
