Work location: Onshore/Offshore (Azerbaijan)

Experience:

Minimum of 2 year experience in blasting and painting operations carry out all methods of surface preparation and hand application of coatings with a multinational company.

Minimum Training Requirements

• COSHH awareness
• Confined space awareness
• Face fit testing
• Ear protection training

Duties:

This person will work as part of a blasting/coatings operating team carrying out all aspects of surface preparation and surface coating operations.

• Prepare surfaces for the application of coating
• Apply coatings to prepared surfaces
• Operate compressor equipment & other such equipment such as blasting & painting equipment
• Carry out reasonable tasks outside normal duties to support the smooth running of the business
• Contribute to effective work activities
• Contribute to health, safety and environmental quality
• Be actively involved and contribute to completing an onsite risk assessment that identifies additional risks or hazards involved in the work scope prior to work commencing.
• Ensure that works under the correct valid permits and the associated paper work is in place prior to work commencing.
• Follow controls including PPE requirements from COSHH assessments
• Be actively involved in the onsite daily toolbox talk confirms that understands what the work scope involves and be aware if there any changes to the work or worksite.
• Ensure all equipment has been fully safety checked prior to use.
