Job Title:  Maintenance Superintendent (Mechanical) – Fixed Term till 31/12/2017

Location: Onshore, Baku

A vacancy, available only for Azerbaijan citizens, has arisen for the Maintenance Superintendent who is responsible and accountable for organisational and technical support of maintenance function and personnel, including an oversight of procurement, equipment repair and materials / spares requirement, to ensure continued operability of equipment throughout KCAD’s operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (but not be limited to)

• Overall accountability for RREP directly attributed to Maintenance failures/activities.
• Offshore Maintenance Team’s competency and performance.
• Delivery of offshore maintenance team efficiency/productivity.
• Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with the Group Management System Procedures.
• Provide and manage all discipline and technical support for rig maintenance personnel throughout KCAD’s operations.
• Implement, control, review and maintain the reliability of the CMMS to a standard apposite for the management of maintenance in line with KCAD WWS, BP Integrity management, API & all in country interface documentation with particular attention to SCE timings.
• Carry out the required planned management visits to ensure KCAD/Client agreed WWS audit structure is maintained, including but not restricted to minimum number of visits as indicated by Technical Integrity Manager (reference yearly appraisals).
• Carry out weekly and monthly audits of all Planned Maintenance Routines for all existing and new equipment within relevant Maintenance Management System.
• Participate in department “On Call” duty rota set by Technical Integrity Manager.
• Carry out bi-weekly visits to the warehouse to ensure all material goods for their respective platforms are organised and dispatched in a timely basis.
• Have direct input to the 5/10 yearly shutdown plans and engage with Shutdown Team as and when required. Including both Shutdown & Maintenance work scopes.
• Directly accountable for the control and implementation of (in conjunction with the Shutdown team) all major 5/10 yearly shutdowns.
• Understand and communicate with Supervisors key BP document AzSPU-GEN-PRC-001-AGT management of Change (Section 18 – SCE deferral).
• Liaise with the Engineering Services provider to identify opportunities for sheltering upgrades or engineering projects during periods of planned maintenance and vice versa.
• Assist the Rig Manager to prepare for BP S&OR Audits to ensure that necessary information is available to complete the Audit process.

Educational and Experience Requirements

• Recognized industry apprenticeship/ Relevant trade papers.
• 10+ years of experience as Maintenance Superintendent Offshore.
• 5+ years of experience as Maintenance Supervisor Offshore.
• 10+ years of experience as Rig Mechanic Offshore.
• 10+ years of experience of working with MH Wirth drilling equipment.

Other Special Requirements

• Excellent English language skills.
• Excellent computer skills.    
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Ability to coach and mentor others.
