Job Title: Plant and Equipment Supervisor
Project: South Caucasus Pipeline Expansion
Work location: Camps in Goranboy and Aghstafa regions
Reports to: Transport Manager
Responsibilities:
• Ensure quality standards and delivery schedules are maintained in a safe, professional and accurate manner with a focus on Department of Transportation regulations and compliance.
• Comply with Department of Transportation regulations including but not limited: Hours of Service; Compliance, Safety, Accountability; Roadside inspections; etc.
• Ensure paperwork and documentation is in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations. This includes, but is not limited to: Driver/Operator Qualification Files, Daily Vehicle/P&E Inspection Reports, Driver/Operator Fitness, Driver/Operator Logs, etc.
• Schedule and assign drivers and equipment per Department of Transportation regulations prior to Project activities.
• Update and maintain electronic databases used for operators’ logs, inventory, invoicing and routing.
• Supervise all activities of drivers/operators. Direct and schedule operator’s work, plan, assign, and distribute daily work to avoid hours of service violations while coordinating loads, equipment and backhauls to achieve maximum utilization of the fleet.
• Identify and resolve delivery and scheduling problems through timely communication with dispatchers, coordinator and other department staff.
• Delegate, assign and direct drivers/operators in the performance of their duties, overseeing all daily activities.
• Conduct performance observations and evaluations for drivers/operators with the Transportation Manager.
• Enforce corporate and company policies.
• Administer corrective actions (disciplinary actions) with the guidance of Human Resources.
• Support team on all transportation activities in order to achieve safe transportation of equipment and material to the work sites.
• Liaise with construction representatives, take transportation orders and ensure all safety procedures are applied during transportation of equipment/material.
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience as Plant and equipment supervisor
• Knowledge of MS Office;
• Fluent English and Azerbaijani language;
• Ability to travel inside and outside the country;
• Ability to effectively structure and deliver content in written; oral; and formal presentations;
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Candidates have professional experience within BP projects will be preferred.
