Chief Agronomist

Location: Gala

Responsibilities:

•       Conducts research in field-crop problems and develops new methods of growing crops to secure more efficient production, higher yield, and improved quality
•       Plans and carries out breeding studies to develop and improve varieties of greenhouse and garden crops, such as vegetables, olives, almond and etc with respect to characteristics, such as yield, quality, adaptation to specific soils or climates, and resistance to diseases and pests.
•       Specializes in specific field crop, group of field crops, or specific agronomic problem.
•       Enters commands and observes system functions to verify correct system operation.

Required skills:

•       Leadership skills. He should know how to tackle the teams of agricultural workers and other agronomists.
•       Communication skills. He should know how to interact with different people and get things done from them.

Academic Qualifications:

•       Graduation in agricultural science
•       Certificate course in agricultural science
•       A prior work experience of at least 6 years in the same field
