Position: Program Director

Reports to: Director 

Job Description:

Operations:
• Plans and oversees the implementation of all ongoing educational programs,
• Supervises the organization’s program staff and maintains a highly functioning team environment;
• Ensures a quality-oriented workforce is attracted to the program department;
• Contributes to the development of  Strategy and Operations Plans of the company;
• Provides Consolidated Report and Analysis to partners/donors;
• Plans and ensures the delivery of the overall program and its activities in accordance with the mission and the goals of the organization
• Develop new initiatives to support the strategic direction of the organization
• Develop and implement long-term goals and objectives to achieve the successful outcome of the program
• Develop a program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the program and to identify areas for improvement
• Develop funding proposals for the program to ensure the continuous delivery of services

Finance:
• Ensures that the programs operate within the approved budget
• Monitors and approves all budgeted program expenditures
• Monitors cash flow projections and reports actual cash flow and variance to the Executive Director on a regular basis
• Manages all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures
• Ensures that all financial records for the program are up to date
• Identifies and evaluates the risks associated with program activities and takes appropriate action to control the risks
• Monitors the program activities on a regular basis and conducts an annual evaluation according to the program evaluation framework
• Reports evaluation findings to the Executive Director and recommends changes to enhance the program, as appropriate

Human Resources:
• Implements a performance management process for all program staff
• Ensures all staff members receive orientation and appropriate training in accordance with organizational standards
• Supervises program staff by providing direction, input and feedback
• Liaises with other managers to ensure the effective and efficient program delivery
• Coordinates the delivery of services among different program activities to increase effectiveness and efficiency
• Engages volunteers for appropriate program activities

Qualifications sought:

• Extensive work experience and successful track record in education, training management, research and consultancy;
• Minimum 5 years of managerial experience;
• Educational background in Education, Business, or Management;
• MBA is an asset;
• Analytical skills to evaluate educational trends in Azerbaijan and internationally;
• Business mind set;
• Open to new challenges and ready for constant improvements;
