Area Sales Manager – Country

Area Sales Manager develops strategy, tactics and execution plan for assigned country sell-in and sell-out drive. Works with retail customers, distubutors and outletss in order to ensure targeted market position.
Area Sales manager works closely with marketing, supply chain, finance. Position requires up to 50% of time spent travelling.

Principal accountabilities include but not limited with:

1. Sales Management
a. Negotiating Trade Terms & Conditions with customers
b. Ensure execution of commercial agreements
c. KA sales planning tool management (shipment forecast, joint business planning including trade events)
d. Control sell out & inventory levels by each KA
e. Ensuring other targets achievement within KAs: sell-in, inventory, in-house share, margin level.

2. Trade investments & in-store execution  planning and control
a. Coop budget planning by each product category / KA
b. Promo programs initiation, planning, evaluation & post analysis
c. Promo costs and rates negotiation with customers
d. In store programs (displays & brand zones) support in planning & management
e. KA promo campaigns planning and execution control in alignment with brand marketing guidelines / master plan.

3. Finance administration
a. Sufficient credit line (limit & # of credit days) planning, ensuring and control
b. AR management including overdue shipments control (if any), pre/early payment

4. Contract management
a. Shipment contract conclusion & signing with all KAs
b. Commercial contract conclusion & signing with all KAs
c. All required, on-going addendums (including logistics, finance and legal areas) conclusion & signing with all KAs
d. Issuing all required approvals for all actions related to business relationship with customers

5. General
a. Regular customers data collection (in-house share, competitors trends), ensure on-time reporting to top management
b. Overall trouble shooting (incl. supply delays, quality problems, o/due etc.)
c. Build up cutomer strategy and competitive landscape in order to ensure long term partnership business
d. Manage relationship and ensure single point of contact for all customers
e. Organize regular business review meetings with customers
 
6. Major KPIs:
a. Sales revenue
b. Gross margin
c. Account inventory on hand
d. Sales forecast accuracy

Education and experience required for the position:

• University/College Bachelor’s degree
• 3-5 years experience in key account management with leading CE or FMCG companies, including 1-2 years at AREA SALES MANAGER  role
• Strong talent for multi-tasking and managing competing priorities effectively
• Ability to work under pressure in fast changing environment
• Proven track record for innovative solutions to complex problems, ability to be both strategic and tactic oriented
• Strong understanding of retail market operations
• Highly organized, attentive to details
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Self directed, yet strong team player
• Fluent English is a must
