Duties & Responsibilities
 
To provide IT support to company. Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.  Handle end user IT support for both local and remote locations.  New builds and rebuild of onshore &offshore PC's when needed.  Ensure that the safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to as far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment. Cell Phone / Smartphone support.  Office Application superuser   

PRINCIPAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACOUNTABILITIES:

Primary duties:

Handle a wide scope of operational enquiries from offshore and onshore users such as PC/laptop/Smartphones/internet etc.
• Provide training to end user in the use of Gmail, Office and VPN connectivity for remote access.
• Maintain end user hardware including PC workstations, laptops, printers, mobile devices and tablets.
• Troubleshooting hardware issues (graphics cards, USB and peripheral devices and drivers)
• Handle end user IT support for both local and remote locations
• Liaise with central Infrastructure and Communications departments to ensure physical integrity on critical equipment
• Assist in any Offshore IT Support for all Oceaneering Offices wherever required
• Ensure that the safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to as far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment
• Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems
• Take on other duties as assigned from time to time
• Other special duties as assigned by Management
• Occasional lifting of computer hardware and related equipment
• Inventory management
• The job requires some travelling
• To provide IT support to company.

Specific responsibilities within the IT Department:

• Invoicing
• Requisitions / Purchasing
• Cell Phone / Smartphone support
• Office Application superuser
• Imaging and reimaging of onshore PC's
• Onshore facilities support
• New builds and rebuild of offshore PC's when needed
• Project management and International travel are required

General

• The list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post

• Assist with any other duties as and when required
• Undertake specific projects as instructed by management

• Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment

Other

• Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems
• Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company
• Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment

QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING

A high school diploma. Bachelor’s Degree in related field (P)
ITIL qualification (P)
HNC (or equivalent)
Must be willing to undergo further training as required (E);
Minimum of 2 years experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Very good organizational skills with a high attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Fluent spoken and written English
Good analytical skills and sense of initiative; highly motivated.

COMPUTER SKILLS

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have complete knowledge of
- Installing new hardware and management
- Operating systems (Microsoft based operating systems)
- Remote Support of Users
- Networking (LAN,WAN,WLAN)
