Job Title: Learning & Development Executive
 
Purpose:

To provide highly effective support, coaching and learning activities to departmental trainers and departments to enable them to achieve exceptional levels of guest service. In addition, to support consistent achievement of the Jumeirah L&D Processes.

Main Duties: 

1. Deliver JBB induction training for new colleagues and ensure attendance is timely in line with L&D processes
2. Delivery and facilitation of core Jumeirah courses under the Jumeirah Way and Supervisory series of programmes for JBB colleagues and supervisors
3. Deliver Trainer development programmes to develop, assess and certify new departmental trainers
4. Supports departmental trainers and departments so they are able to deliver quality on-the-job training to their teams and monitors to ensure there is an appropriate ratio of departmental trainers
5. Supports the team L&D processes - “Train and Develop Colleagues” and         “Assess Colleague Competence and Performance”
6.  Design and develop training materials and courses that are consistent with other JBB and Jumeirah training programmes
7. Conduct departmental training reviews where required
8. Manages all external work placements and supports the co-ordination of Intern placements
9. Prepares and submits Trainers Bonus summary on a monthly basis
10. Co-ordinates with the L&D co-ordinator to ensure maximum attendance for training programmes
11. Monitors Hotspot training on a timely basis and follows up with departments to ensure targets are met
12.  Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management.

Qualifications 

Essential

• Group Trainer Qualification

Desirable

• Bachelor Degree in Hospitality
• Formal relevant qualification or willingness to work towards CIPD certificate in Training Practise

Experience 

Essential

• Be experienced in effectively holding Team Briefings
• On the job training experience in an operational department

Desirable

• Team leader or Assistant Manager experience
• Experience of successfully managing other people
• Departmental trainer experience
• Experience of designing and delivering a range of high quality colleague programmes for specified needs
