Project Description:
SAIPEM-AZFEN JV is construction, engineering and procurement Company engaged in construction of major gas pipeline in Georgia and Azerbaijan.
SAIPEM-AZFEN JV is looking for the candidates who have skills and experience to deliver the following responsibilities during the pipeline construction for the following positions:
Required experience and qualification:
• Bachelor Degree, preferably in Safety Sciences
• Excellent spoken & written in English mandatory
• NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role in the oil and gas industry
• Good working knowledge of fabrication and construction related activities
• Computer skills that includes MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Access)
• Strong communication and team work skills
Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Day-to-day supervision and coordination of the health and safety process on site
• Review and develop related health and safety plans, procedures and processes
• Develop site specific documents as required and coordinate the implementation
• Overall responsible for the observation, monitoring, coordination and supervision of control of work activities in accordance with the procedures and within their designated area
• Ensuring that the appropriate level of risk assessment has been carried out for the task and acting as the Task
• Ensuring that the work site inspections are carried out before, during and after the performance of each task (some of this activities may be delegated to a competent nominated person)
• Ensuring that there is a walk-through of every work site activity before and after completion of work as a minimum, ensuring good housekeeping, isolation and tags removed as appropriate
• Ensuring that adequate tool box discussions are taking place in work sites
• Validate lessons learned and audits
• Be familiar with all SCPX project related documentation
• Coordinate, control and organize:
• Waste acceptance, segregation, waste packaging, temporary storage of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, transportation of waste to destination facilities
• Work with MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet)
• Review Method Statement and TRAs for different activities for compliance with H&S procedures
• Internal auditing of all disciplines followed by Corrective and Preventive action tracking and close actions raised by external and internal audits
• Conduct internal trainings and assist in lessons learned for staff as required
• Carry out investigations of the incidents and prepare reports
• Report and liaise with H&S manager on daily basis
