Position Summary:

Purpose: The QHSE Manager is a key member of the country management team.  This role supports the implementation of the corporate Operating Management System, and in particular the QHSE related aspects.  Mentorship and guidance of country management with relation to QHSE principles and system application are critical.  This is the subject matter expert in a broad range of topics that may include Quality (ISO based approach), Occupational Health, and Safety, Environmental conformance and impact and Security. 
The manager also supports the country with in depth incident root cause analysis techniques, and full understanding of internal and industry technical standards, best practices and management principles.  The Manager has full understanding of client requirements and is able to bridge these requirements with the company Operating Management System to effectively assure both entities of effective and active risk management.  Additionally, full understanding of subcontractor management standards and principles is applied to manage these external groups to meet the expectations of the client and organization to the successful completion of the project.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Ensure compliance of the laws, local decrees and regulations by the operations of Geokinetics in its area of control. Understand and Implement corporate policies, standards and guidelines, and produce local ones as appropriate to bridge any gaps. Carry out audits and inspections to evaluate its compliance and areas of improvement.
- Evaluate the Geokinetics personnel and give recommendations to the manager of operations related to the internal training. Training in specific areas.
- Write/Compile, adjust, test and put in practice Crew and Project QHSE Plans, Emergency Response Plans, Environmental/Health/Security Plans for the country and crew.
- Control the Hazard register and ensure application of the mitigations and controls. Constantly rate risks to organization and understand top risks.
- Participate in the design and selection of country facilities, buildings, equipment. Base camp site and other work places.
- Organize inductions and orientations in the crew.
- Ensure timely delivery of all reports to Company, Clients and Authorities.
- Report to Country Manager and the representative of the client in a maximum lapse of 24 hours any TRC or any event of QHSE with can bring real or potential lamentable consequences.
- Outline and propose suggestions for the improvement of the management in QHSE in the crews and the company in general.
- Verify TZ-OBC compliance with the QHSE MS, including the consolidation of the documentation of the required TZ-OBC process by monthly project progress report and KPIs.
- Manage and validate data entry into company proprietary QHSE OMS Metrics system, SYNERGYHSE.
- Reference company standards and guidelines in company proprietary SharePoint Sites.
- Provide leadership and mentorship on all aspects of the QHSE and OMS to country management.
- Certified in incident investigation techniques and methodology compatible with the company standards.
- Certified instructor in various QHSE related courses.

Education & Experience:

- Requires university degree University degree or 10 year experience in related position.
- Experience in Land, TZ, OBC and OBN project.
- Experience in Continues Acquisition projects. Geospace / Fairfield Nodes

Knowledge & Skills Requirements:

-  Microsoft Office, including advanced functionality in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher, Project, Visio, SharePoint, InfoPath, Lync.
- Lotus Notes
- Exceptional Interpersonal skills.
- Full command of English (Verbal and Written)  

QHSE Competencies:

- Competencies for the role are referenced in the Integrated QHSE Management System Training Frame Guidelines. For this role, the competencies that are required include Mastery level.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions & Hazards:

- Able to work at sea,  Land
- Stand, walk, and sit
- Ability to lift and carry 30kgs
- Use of hands to grasp, handle and lift.
- Seismic work is highly risky. Working environment may be in normal office conditions or open areas exposed to weather. Seismic work is conducted in a variety of environments, including swamps, snow, steep mountains, jungles, and deserts. It employs explosives, boats, helicopters, and other vehicles. The QHSE manager ensures and reviews that each crew and project has the specific hazard register for the work conducted. Use PPE accordingly.

Exposure to hazards such as high pressure air, loud noise, fumes, suspended loads, pinch points.
