Duties & Responsibilities 
 
Under the guidance of Senior Engineers and the Project Management Team provide designs, plans, analysis, reports, procedures, and drawings required for the execution of various offshore vessel and subsea operations and projects.  Lead and/or participate in activities from initial contact with the Client and other contractors through concept, definition, planning, implementation, handover and closeout project phases.
Working with the assigned project team, proactively participate, in the correct identification and recording of, scope of work and project requirements.
Proactively participate in all project technical matters including project design, investigating feasibility of task plans and project solutions with the client and contractors, conducting reviews, and production of engineering documents.
Preparation and reporting against project schedules, budgets and project documents under the guidance of the assigned project team.
Proactively participate in interfacing, discussions, and reviews between other departments, the customer, other contractors, suppliers, and the project team to ensure scope of work and requirements are achieved and issues are resolved
Proactively participate in projects, including: concept, definition, planning, implementation, handover, and closeout as instructed by management
Preparation and witnessing of procedures (FAT’s, SIT’s, load tests, project execution, deck plans, etc).
Preparation and delivery of Technical Presentations on the project or other matters as instructed by management
Preparation and review of drawings
Preparation and review of calculation and analysis packages
Proactively participate in Project Management Team’s delivering conceptual studies and estimates
Proactively Participate in risk assessments on all aspects of the project activities as required
Ensure all tasks are completed on time and issues are identified and resolved early.
Proactive communications with, and full utilisation of the resources made available internally or via a contractor, supplier, or the client to warrant a positive outcome to projects
Proactive communications with, and full utilisation of the services available through DTS and ROV

General

The list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post.
Assist with any other duties as and when required.

Safety

Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.
Plan offshore tasks in accordance with HSE policies, regulations, and standards.

Other

Develop, generate, and carry out scopes of work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.
Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

Qualifications 
 
Fluent in English   (E)
AutoCAD Proficiency   (E)
Diploma or certificate in mechanical, civil, ocean, or similar engineering    (E)
Apprenticeship in a marine, offshore, diving, mechanical, or construction trade    (P)
Experience in a technical / engineering assistant role    (P)
Experience in marine, offshore, diving, mechanical, or construction environments   (P)
Suitable qualification or undergraduate experience may be taken in lieu of work experience
