Job Title:   NDT Technician
Location:  Baku, Azerbaijan       
Duties & Responsibilities


Conduct NDT as per procedures and specifications; by methods which current personal certification levels permit, and report results as per inspection reporting procedures and formats

PRINCIPAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• To carry out a range of NDT inspection techniques on components, pipework and structural assemblies etc, in order to establish acceptability to specification
• Carry out the most effective NDT techniques to components requiring inspection
• Ensure that work area is safe to carry out NDT activities
• Carry out risk assessments/Take II as required
• Ensure inspection is carried out within the parameters of the applicable specification and procedures
• Evaluate results of the test in accordance with applicable specification and procedure
• Produce a clear and concise report detailing the methods used in and results of the inspection
• Ensure any limitations of the inspection or deviations from the workscope are clearly documented and communicated to the client/supervisor at the earliest opportunity
• Carry out work in a timely and efficient manner in order to meet deadlines, changing priorities when the situation requires
• Carry out work in accordance with Oceaneering operating procedures and statutory/client specifications and requirements

General
• The list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post
• Assist with any other duties as and when required
• Undertake specific projects as instructed by management
Safety
• Attend LM's or client safety meetings
• Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment
Other
• Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems
• Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company
QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING:
E – Essential
P – Preferred

• Secondary education in English, Maths and Science e.g. GCSE or equivalent (P)
• ASNT/PCN Levels 1 and 2 (E) in required discipline(s)
• Offshore medical and survival certification (E) for offshore designated personnel

EXPERIENCE (WORK):
E – Essential
P – Preferred

• Flexible approach, team player and good communication skills (E)
• Valid full driving license (E)
• Undergo and pass a medical examination (E)
EXPERIENCE (SOFTWARE):

• Computer Literate (E)
• MS Office (E)
