Job Title:   Vibration Engineer

Location:  Baku, Azerbaijan       

Duties & Responsibilities

Manage vibration activity associated to the designated asset(s) and co-ordinate workpacks, procedures and resources to execute the planned activity and ensure survey results are review and analysed and that any follow up work/anomalies are actioned. 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Review qualitative assessments of all pipe work systems from ongoing inspection activities
• Review quantitative assessments from the vibration contractor to determine the likelihood of failure for all main lines
• Review quantitative assessments from the vibration contractor to determine the likelihood of failure for all small-bore connections
• Review quantitative assessments from the vibration contractor to determine the likelihood of failure for thermo wells
• Review visual assessments of piping systems to determine areas requiring further investigation/scope
• Ensure the specialist vibration measurement techniques applied by vibration contractor are suitable and appropriate where applicable
• Prepare vibration survey work packs in accordance with client policy and procedure
• Keep all vibration anomalies tracked and ensure the appropriate remedial action is identified and implemented
• Act as the focal point to prioritise all vibration activities to ensure the whole plant is considered when reviewing anomalies/remedial actions
• Ensure the third party specialist contractor performs these work scopes in line with expectations

General

• The list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post
• Assist with any other duties as and when required
• Undertake specific projects as instructed by management

Safety

• Attend LM's or client safety meetings as requested
• Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment

Other

• Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems
• Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company
• Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment

QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING:

E – Essential
P – Preferred

• Degree in Engineering related discipline (e.g. mechanical/structural) (E)

EXPERIENCE (WORK):

E – Essential
P – Preferred

• Minimum 3 years of experience related to pipework vibration and specifically field vibration measurements (pipe work or machinery) (E)
• Ability to generate a team approach to problem solving and a good communicator, both written and verbal (E)

EXPERIENCE (SOFTWARE):

• Microsoft Office (E)
• ACET or equivalent (E). If no previous experience, training must be completed in a timely manner
