What will I be doing?

 Delivers and controls effective scheduling and productivity.
 Prepares schedules for maintenance team according to the hotel business.
 Controls hours maintenance team and extra work done by contractors.
 Reviews regular manning and keeps balance between under- and overstaffing.
 Replaces Engineering Manager in his absence.
 On a day-to-day basis, lease with Heads of Departments.

 Makes sure that all plants and systems are in a good condition at all times.
 Coordinates all duties of maintenance team such as handling disturbances / breakdowns chillers, boilers, cooling towers, air-conditioning fans, pumps, automatic control systems, electricity, sanitation, hot and cold water system etc.
 Tests regular all fire prevention systems.
 On a day-to-day basis, lease with Heads of Departments to discuss any work required.
 Make use of any drawings, using these to assist with any problems or new installations taking place.
 Supervises maintenance team and workers outside contractors and emphasis on quality according to the hotel standards.
 Is able to replace duties of maintenance team if necessary.
 Controlling of outside contractors when they are brought in for any major works, making sure that they are signed in and given a name badge.
 Regularly monitors store and ensure that spares are ordered in plenty of time to avoid running out of any items.
 Make sure that plant rooms and all areas are kept clean and tidy at all times and that nothing is stored in these areas that shouldn’t be there.
 Keep a watchful eye on energy management bearing in mind electric, gas, water and how much energy is being used and if this can be reduced in any way without bringing discomfort to the guests in the hotel and reports this to his superior.
 Does fully understand how all systems work so that all plant and equipment can be operated automatically, checking and resetting temperatures in all areas as required.
 Ensure that preventive maintenance program is working satisfactorily and that paperwork and logbooks / sheets for all testing (emergency lighting, fire alarm, sprinkler system) are kept up to date.
 Pays constantly attention to security and safety regulations and is fully aware of the local law risks procedures.
 Trains Team Members according to standards
