Job Title: Health, Safety and Environment Manager (HSE)

Main Duties:

• Co-ordinate and oversee the implementation of Health and safety Risk Assessments
• Prioritize Risks and recommend mitigation measures
• Monitor Health and Safety systems and procedures
• Monitor trends and recommend pro-active action plans to remedy potential problems
• Record, investigate and monitor all injuries or accidents that occur on property.
• Manage a near-miss reporting program
• Manage and coordinate all Occupational Health and Safety Related matters
• Manage and coordinate all Fire, Life Safety related matters
• Manage coordinate hygiene related issues.
• Manage alleged food poisoning cases
• Monitor and ensure that all Health and Safety related equipment have the required maintenance and third party certification.
• Conduct Health, Safety and Environment training as required and monitor Health and Safety related training as carried out by other departments.
• Document, coordinate and manage all third party visits related to Health and Safety.  This will include visits by the authorities, authorized insurance companies and consultants. 
• Implement and Maintain Health, Safety and Environment Policies, Procedures and Processes
• Document Health and Safety infringements and occurrences
• Maintain all aspects of a Health,  Safety and Environment Risk Based program
• Produce monthly Health and Safety reports and identify trends and occurrences
• Produce annual Risk Assessments on Health and Safety
• Record all Alleged Food poisoning cases, thoroughly document them and produce specific reports if required.
• Monitor record and investigate all injuries that occur on the property.
• Monitor and record all serious illness and alert all persons regarding the course of action pertaining to particular illnesses
• Record all Health and Safety training that takes place in cooperation with training and ensure that the training is conducted within the guidelines and procedures of the company.
• Manage the Hazmat response plan on the properties
• Continually update and review all related policies and procedures
• To be well versed with international best practices as well as the local laws and regulations surrounding all aspects of Health and Safety.
• Keep the Health & Safety website updated with relevant information
• Chair monthly Health & Safety Meetings with relevant stakeholders

Qualifications

Essential

• University Graduate
• Health & Safety study or diploma  

Desired

• Hospitality experience
• International exposure

Experience 

Essential

• Minimum 4 years’  experience in a health  and safety role
• Minimum 2 years
• ’ experience in a health & safety management role 

Desired

Working knowledge of the Azerbaijan law
Knowledge of HACCP and Food hygiene
