Job title Production and Installation Manager

Key Responsibilities

Production

• overseeing the production process, drawing up a production schedule;
• ensuring that the production is cost effective;
• making sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality;
• working out the human and material resources needed;
• drafting a timescale for the job;
• estimating costs and setting the quality standards;
• monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed;
• being responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment;
• monitoring product standards and implementing quality-control programmes;
• liaising among different departments, e.g. suppliers, managers;
• working with managers to implement the company's policies and goals;
• ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed;
• supervising and motivating a team of workers;
• reviewing worker performance;
• Identifying training needs.

Installation

• Analyze business results using the required reports
• Develop and execute action plans for improvement in the route/dispatch of carpet, flooring, and window treatment (if applicable) installs daily
• Visit several of the first installation jobs for all new installers
• Conduct random proactive job site visits weekly
• Lead the team of Installation Coordinators (if present) and oversee their work quality and performance
• Develop and maintain excellent professional business relationships with the installers and insure that others on the Installation team do the same
• Work with customers as necessary
• Create and exhibit a sense of ownership
• Create and support a safe work environment
• Perform other functions as necessary or as assigned
• In-depth knowledge of the product mix
• Working knowledge of permit and licensing requirements for markets being supported
• Specific knowledge of local competitors and the industry
• Ability to profitably grow revenue
• Ability to lead and train associates to provide excellent customer service
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and decisiveness as appropriate
• Supports the branch management team by handling customer opportunities as needed
• Ability to work as a team with support departments outside of the branch
• Excellent customer service skills

Experience & Core Skills Required

• 2 years’ experience on relevant position
