Duties & Responsibilities
 
To provide technical support to the Civil Structures Integrity department for the Midstream AGT Region to acquire knowledge and experience as part of personal development to progress to an Engineer position in a chosen discipline either by part of a Graduate Development programme and/or normal career progression
In addition to providing general assistance to engineers on projects also assist as required with the following:-
• Participate in Oceaneering /client training courses for multiple integrity management software applications (ACET, Atlas etc)
• Producing AutoCAD sketches for inclusion in Civil /Structural Inspection reports
• Conducting searches on documentum or Atlas system for relevant civil/structural/architectural drawings
• Development of work packs and managing work pack files on the electronic filing system
• Liaise with area planners as requested by the Civil SIE
• Entering data (reports, findings, IQs, ROs) into the ACET database
• Managing the finding log and inspection register
• Liaise with client’s staff(as requested by the SIE) for WO creation
• Perform limited field inspection activities under the direction of the Civil SIE
• Conducting follow up inspections on completed repair orders, and/or meeting with client operations staff on in progress ROs( as directed by teh Civil SIE)
• Development of safety awareness in accordance with Oceaneering and client safety programs and policies.
• Advancement in field experience and training to obtain Permit Authority Status

General

• The list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake tasks that may reasonably be expected within the scope of the post
• Assist with any other duties as and when required
• Undertake specific projects as instructed by management

• Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment

Other

• Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems
• Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company
Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment

Qualifications
 
• Degree in an relevant engineering or science  discipline (E)
• A post graduate qualification such as a MSc (P)
• Preference to candidates with Civil, Structural or Geotechnical Engineering
• Be committed to developing towards gaining and maintaining UK chartered status and corporate membership of a relevant institution (P)
• Ability to communicate well in English both orally and in writing (E)
• Have either had work placements when taking qualifications and/or carried out relevant work during vacation periods (P)
