Vacancy: Interpreter

Education: Required Bachelor’s Degree

Skills and Experience Required: 

• Fluent Azeri, Russian, English or German;
• Excellent working knowledge of MS Office;
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills;
• A minimum 2 years of experience in similar position;
• Willingness to travel abroad.

Duties: 

• Facilitate effective communication between two parties that do not speak a similar language by converting one spoken or written language to another;
• Check translations of technical terms and terminology to ensure that they are accurate and remain consistent throughout translation revisions;
• Attend conferences and meetings and act as official translator to mediate discussion;
• Convert written materials from one language into another;
• Create a new text in the target language that reproduces the content and style of the original;
• Edit and proofread text to accurately reflect language;
• Use dictionaries and glossaries for reference;
• Employ computer-assisted translation;
• Accompany foreign visitor and facilitate communication between receiving party and visitor.
