About the Role:

Working as a Waiter/Waitress, you will be responsible for adhering to the company service standard.
Reporting directly into the Team Leaders, Assistant Outlet Manager, Outlet Managers , your responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
1. To always embrace the Jumeirah Hallmarks
2. To follow proper payroll and uniform procedures.
3. To offer guests of the outlet an enjoyable, expertly served beverage/dining experience.
4. To anticipate and service of guests' requirements before requests is necessary.
5. To serve and clear food and beverage items in an unobtrusive and professional manner.
6. To be familiar with the beverage service including stemware used and appropriates garnishes.
7. To utilize a "Captain's Pad" correctly and for the sake of communication.
8. To complete opening and closing side work as assigned and has all tables set according to standard.
9. To present menus and explanations for all menu items as well as specials of the day.
10. To present children's menus, when appropriate, and describe specials.
11. To utilize the hotel's computer system ringing up sales, printing checks, closing checks and completing closing readings.
12. To carry trays, bus and reset tables with linen, china, glass and silver.
13. To change ashtrays, serve cigarettes, crumb tables and offer additional beverages and cigars.
14. To ascertain a guest's satisfaction and handle any problem, which may arise informing a manager of the problem and how it was resolved.
15. To service all needs for private dining room or private function.
16. To report any accident or guest complaint immediately, no matter how minor, to a manager.
17. To recognize and address potential disruptive or undesirable guests.
18. To respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.
19. To move tables and chairs
20. To breakdown any buffets, displays or side stations when needed

About You:

In order to be considered for this position, you must have at least 1 year experience in a simlar position. You must be able to demonstrate ability to handle large restaurants and guest volumes on a daily basis.
You will be a highly driven and motivated individual with a good knowledge and understanding of Food and Beverage operations.
With a good command of the English language, verbal and written, you will also have a working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word and Excel.
