JOB TITLE:  Group Marketing Manager

REPORTS TO:  Group CEO

DEPARTMENT:  Corporate Marketing Department

SPECIAL FACTORS/BACKGROUND:

This role involves the strategic leadership of the CSP team and the management of the creative services operations

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategically :

• Develops Brand Positioning, Brand Awareness, and Corporate Image to improve the business prospects;
• Develops and implements marketing/advertising plans for the whole of the business to support and meet the business plans and sales objectives;
• Develop and Implement Oversees National and Local Promotion Programmes;
• Develops communication strategies and innovative solutions for promotional / sales support material that meet the marketing objectives, deadlines and budget parameters.
• Interpret a client's communications strategy and develop proposed creative approaches and treatments that align with that strategy.
• Responsible for providing guidelines and approvals for communication messages internally and externally of any form (print, electronic form, television or radio to strengthen brand awareness/ image and reach of the audience)
• Commercially responsible for the operation of Paris Gallery Loyalty Programme in order to achieve and maintain a successful acceptance by PG’s Guests and status in industry benchmarks. This includes the investigation, design and implementation of further developments of the programme.
• Define the Organization-Wide e-Commerce Strategy and its implementation and ongoing development. Local market adaptations based on an integrated technology platform and orchestrated workflow and process management.

Operationally :

• Allocate resources and responsibility by determining specific design requirements and parameters of design specifications.
• Foster key contacts and suppliers for creative execution.
• Take creative lead on all pitch preparations and regularly review quality of Creative output.
• Ensure that the New Product Launches – at the right time and within the budget;
• Ensure that the team manages material writing, design direction and project management support in line with the Brand Position;
• Promote the creative life of the agency through proactive initiatives (eg. competition entries) for innovation to enhance reputation of the firm.
• Implement graphic standards abreast of latest design disciplines and technology.
• Ensure all projects are completed in a timely and effective manner tracking graphic design processes at various stages to rectify errors and ensure quality standards met. 
• Have extensive experience of quality control and monitoring of all creative output.
• Regularly update client/management about project progress or design issues
• Implement best practice studio processes and policies
• Succession planning and input for recruiting of new members
• Embrace change and lead team for business process improvement
• Ensure that the Marketing Budget is prepared, monitored and controlled

QUALIFICATIONS

EITHER a combination of a formal qualification (degree level, MBA or equivalent) in the field of Marketing and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and seven to ten years similar role experience OR ten to fifteen years similar role experience in the field of Marketing and CRM. 
FMCG or Retail Industry background is generally preferred.

EXPERIENCE

10 + years of experience of having worked in the field of Marketing/ CRM including experience of Campaign Management, Database Management, Awareness of Retail Specific Systems and new ways of distribution as well as e-commerce know would be advantageous.  Should have at least 5 years of experience of having headed the large team;
Experience in Advertising & Media Industry
Several years of experience in the role of Project Management/ Project Handling

KNOWLEDGE 

Retail/ FMCG Industry Knowledge is an absolute must;
