Role synopsis 

The Performance Engineer assists the Wells Team to deliver simple, concise and systematic performance information for Global Wells Organization (GWO) in support of delivering the mission of safe, compliant, and reliable wells. The Performance Engineer provides oversight and review of technical analysis to understand the performance of the wells activity within region. Critical challenges that impact the ability to deliver on prescribed accountabilities include: a) Accurate and timely delivery of wells data in conformance with the standard practices within GWO. b) Success is dependent on the Wells community conforming to applicable procedures. c) Differing levels of awareness and hence application of associated tools and processes.

Key accountabilities 

a) Ensure the representation of the technical data pertaining to wells activity performance is accurate and thorough.
b) Key individual that provides oversight and review of analysis completed to understand the performance of the wells activity within the region. o Lead the development of tools to analyse data, oversee the final publication and identify insights that will be included in the publication. Provide technical oversight to both Analysts and Technologists as needed.
c) Technical support for all projects and processes within the Functional Performance Area , which includes the following as examples:

o Technical Benchmarking

 Drilling  Completions
 Interventions
 NPT o Technical KPI Reporting and Analysis
 PI Data (Wells Drilled/Completed/D10K)
 Production Reporting (Priority Wells, NWD, WW)

o Functional Liaison to outside groups
o Leadership Support (ad-hoc and regular)
o Special Projects Wells Performance Engineers support the organization through networking with the line to ensure understanding of the technical information.

• Support Area VP in the organisation of performance reviews within function and externally, townhalls, RLT
• Facilitation of OPRs per Rig Line for Area VP
• Leading QA/QC, standartisation of reporting across the rigs in the region

Essential Education 

Engineering Degree with >7 years’ experience in wells.

Essential experience and job requirements 

- Previous engineering experience (>7 years) with international oil and gas companies.
- Familiar with the terminology in the wells organization in order to understand the overall business.
- Experienced in MS Office applications or developed IT skills.
- Ability to coach, teach others in utilizing systems.
- Fluency in English.
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated with attention to detail.
