Investment/Monitoring Officer

Job Responsibilities

• Researching investment sectors and keeping up-to-date with investment trends/climate in Azerbaijan
• Participation in the investment process:
o Identifying and screening attractive investment opportunities
o Conducting due diligence on the investment proposal, (e.g. market analysis, financial projection, competitive positioning, products/services and business model analysis etc.)
o Participating in development of term sheets and structuring of the deal
o Participating in final documentation and closing of the deal
• Developing and maintaining financial models (e.g. discounted cash flow models, cost of capital, scenario analysis, stress testing etc.)
• On-going monitoring of the portfolio
• Preparing periodic reports on the operational and financial status of the portfolio companies
• Participating in consulting/advisory services
• Acting as supervisory board member of portfolio companies

Required Qualification

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Finance
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Strong analytical, quantitative and in-depth critical analysis skills
• A solid understanding of fundamental investment analysis
• Financial modeling skills
• Written and oral fluency in Azeri and English
• Good knowledge of MS Office programs (especially Microsoft Excel)
• Strong presentation skills, candidate must be able to articulate ideas, issues and recommendations effectively
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of international accounting principles and standards
• CFA or similar qualifications would be an advantage
