Role synopsis
To be a member of the Shah Deniz 2 Transport and Installation Project Management Team providing safe and efficient installation offshore execution to agreed HSE and Quality standards To assist in the management of the Installation Contractor to achieve the Shah Deniz 2 (SD2) Project’s objectives and schedule
Key accountabilities
General
• Actively promote project goals in respect of HSE, Budget, Schedule, and Technical Integrity.
• Lead by example in HSE, Quality and open communication within team and Contractors.
• Ensure that lessons learned are appropriately considered in the T&I engineering activities for offshore execution.
• Challenge Design change.
• Input into the Tender review and evaluation for future installation contracts. T&I Construction Management
• Responsible for monitoring contractor project execution performance and construction scope delivery
• Provide communication with the Installation Contractor’s site and vessel teams to ensure rigorous tracking of safety performance, schedule progress and SIMOPs planning
• Work closely with the appropriate project teams to resolve conflicts in the overall interest of the SD2 project delivery
Essential Education
Engineering degree or equivalent
Essential experience and job requirements
• A minimum of 10 years experience of general offshore construction and subsea installation
• Proven experience of construction vessel operations
• Proven capability of building and leading successful teams
• Experience with site management activities related to health, safety, and environmental issues Skill Requirements:
• Exhibits understanding of BP’s MPcp engineering and construction practices and the latest international standards that assure integrity of build and construction quality,
• Proactively demonstrates sophisticated decision-making and leadership skills needed to address complex stakeholder groups and issues associated with Major Projects,
• Ability to intervene in critical situations in order to redirect focus and achieve the required result,
• A high level of proven communication, interpersonal and people management skills,
• Financial and commercial awareness,
• Self-motivated,
• Computer literate
